Sugar Scrub FAQ

Question: What's the difference between the Exfoliating Sugar Scrub and the Bikini Care Scrub?

Answer: Exfoliating Sugar Scrub can be used on any area of the body (bikini area included!) and is a great general exfoliator to keep skin hydrated and glowing. Exfoliating and moisturizing are key to preventing ingrown hairs. Bikini Care Scrub is a coconut oil-free blend specially formulated for the bikini area (and anywhere else you remove hair) and is great for stubborn ingrown hairs. The specific essential oils in the blend help prevent ingrown hairs more than exfoliating alone.

Question:  Why do your sugar scrubs say to use within 2-3 weeks of opening?

Answer: Our sugar scrubs don't contain any preservatives, which means that once you start using them (read: once you put anything into the jar, like a spoon or your fingers) they should be used quickly.  With that said, if you peel of the seal just to smell the product (and you don't get anything like your fingers or water in the jar), it is absolutely fine to put the lid back on the jar and put it in the cabinet and come back months later.  But once you open it and put it in your shower, use it up quickly.  And - IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP WATER OUT OF THE JAR.  That's why we suggest scooping with a spoon instead of your fingers - to minimize water and other contaminants getting into the scrub and ruining it.

Question:  I have diabetes and/or am watching my sugar intake.  Can you use your sugar scrubs?

Answer: We aren't doctors and we've never measured or researched how much sugar from sugar scrubs is absorbed through the skin, but it's highly unlikely that your skin would absorb enough sugar to cause a problem (or count as sugar intake/calories).  If you are concerned, check with your doctor.

Question:  Your sugar scrubs smell good enough to eat!  Can I eat them?

Answer:  NO.  Our sugar scrubs are not edible, so please don't sit down with a spoon and have it.  Our lip scrubs are lip safe - meaning it's safe to put them on your lips and get some in your mouth, but we don't recommend full-on eating them.

Question: Why can't I get the jar open?

Answer: We use a machine that seals a liner inside the lid to the jar and these work great for keeping product from leaking. But sometimes they work too well and the lid gets stuck!

We find that a couple of hard taps of the lid on a solid surface will break the seal loose to get the jar open.

Lip Product FAQ

Question: Do your lip balms contain SPF?

Answer: Our lip balms do not contain SPF and are more suitable as an overnight treatment or times when SPF is not needed. We likely will not offer a product with SPF due to drug fact labeling requirements with this type of product.

General Wholesale FAQ

Question: What is wholesale purchasing?

Answer: Wholesale purchasing is the same as bulk purchasing. Larger quantities are purchased at a discount and for purposes of reselling at a profit in your studio or salon.

Question: Why does Scrub Me Good have a minimum order for wholesale purchasing?

Wholesale purchasing is when businesses buy products in bulk directly from manufacturers at discounted prices. It's a win-win situation: businesses get products to resell at lower costs, allowing them to resell at a profit, while manufacturers benefit from larger orders. For Scrub Me Good, setting a minimum order ensures that wholesale partners are serious about distributing our products and helps cover the costs associated with production and distribution. It also fosters long-term relationships with retailers who are committed to promoting our brand.

Question: Is wholesale purchasing the only option for offering Scrub Me Good products in my salon or studio?

Answer: No. We offer an affiliate program as well. You can find information about that program here. You'll share a link with your client and they can purchase whatever they like from our entire product line and you will earn a commission on every sale!
